On Twitter, an @reply is a tweet that is sent in response to the tweet of another. An @replay will show up in the “Replies” tab of the user mentioned. For example, the tweet “You’re right, @YourOldFriend, the Great Gatsby movie was boring” would show up under the original tweet and in the “Replies” tab of YourOldFriend. You can do an @reply by clicking “reply” on a tweet or by writing a tweet with @(username of the account you’re replying to).
