A Link Exchange is a confederation of websites where webmasters register their site with a central organization which gives the site an exchange html code that will display banner ads, or links to other sites in the Link Exchange. Since the sites in a Link Exchange have similar themes, using a Link Exchange will bring in highly targeted viewers. However, due to the reciprocal nature of the links, search engines usually don’t add much weight for Link Exchange inbound links.
