Google Bowling refers to malicious attempts to lower the search engine ranking of their competitors by doing actions that are punished by search engines algorithms in the name of their competitor’s website. To illustrate, a company can pay a Google Bombing service to Google Bomb their competitor’s website in the hope that search engines would punish their competitor’s site since search engines would assume that the competitor was the source of the Google Bomb attempt.
