A Google Bomb is a term that refers to the practice of creating a large number of links for a keyword in order to change the search results for that specific term or phrase, usually for a comical or satirical purpose. In 2006, Google Bombing was used to make the term “miserable failure” create search results pointing to a biography of President George W. Bush. Google Bombing is shunned by search engines and many have taken steps to prevent the practice and to punish perpetrating websites.
