Cloaking is a deceptive Black Hat SEO approach that can result in websites getting banned or penalized. Cloaking involves feeding search engines fake text (usually full of high-ranking keywords, so it ranks high on search engines), but the fake text doesn’t actually display on the website or page. The real website content may be totally unrelated; pornography is sometimes disguised this way, although usually cloaking is simply a maneuver to get high rankings and increased traffic through deception.
